Inte helt rätt, men nästan. AIS-mottagaren måste också översätta meddelandet till NMEA-protokollet (och nu finns det två - -0183 och -2000) och om den inte gör det (eller filtrerar bort) så får inte presentationsdisplayen (plotter, PC etc) något att visa.

Fast de platsar snart i antikrundan, äldsta burken är från feb 2005.
